“The God of glory thunders.” (Psalm 29:3b)

How beautiful this image is of our God and His power.

How much we need this reminder when everything

around us and within us is just too much.

God is much bigger; God is greater than our greatest need.

He is all-powerful and able, and He is merciful and just.

He holds us in the palm of His hands, and loves us.

“The voice of the Lord is powerful,

The voice of the Lord is majestic.” (Psalm 29:4)

Oh, to be held in His keeping and care is to know

divine peace and rest. Pause for a moment and

breathe in the words from these verses.

Let them wash over you like a gentle breeze

blowing upon you, whispering into your soul.

He speaks and the world is created,

and you and I are formed.

He speaks and His words come alive.

He speaks and the storm is calm.

Is anything too hard for Him?

He speaks and we are comforted,

strengthened, healed, and delivered.

He speaks and the mountain is moved.

The sunlight comes in after the rain,

His light pierces through the darkness

and hope begins to dawn.

He speaks and our hearts and souls are renewed.

He speaks and the dead become alive.

He is the Word of Life;

The Word that became

flesh and lived among us.

He walked upon this earth,

His feet touched the same ground.

Heaven came to earth;

And the way, the truth and the life,

To save us and to free us.

Precious, priceless and powerful is our God.

Let His hope rise up in your heart today.

Take His hand, hear His voice calling, and His heart

softly saying, do not be afraid… I am with you.

“Lo, I am with you always,

even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b)

He is the voice of truth. The next time you find yourself

tied up in the struggle, and wrestling to get free,

remember “The God of glory thunders.”

“The Lord will give strength to His people;

The Lord will bless His people with peace.”

(Psalm 29:11)
