Love Enthroned Above All Things: Infinite Power, Intimate Love

“The earth is the LORD’s, and all it contains,

The world, and those who dwell in it.

For He has founded it upon the seas

And established it upon the rivers.”

(Psalms 24:1-2)

What truly majestic power 

And authority God has. 

Is anything too hard for Him

Or beyond His reach?

Oh, how it boggles the mind (and heart) 

to grasp the depths of this.

The profound sovereignty of God,

The total magnitude of all that rests 

In His care; The full spectrum, scope 

And range of His love for us and over us. 

From the farthest corners of the earth,

To the deepest depths of the ocean,

To the highest peaks of the mountains,

down to the tiniest detail.

To every hair upon our heads

or each breath we take, to each 

morning's sunrise when we wake up.

To the stars in the heavens, 

And all the galaxies of the universe,

His righteous reign rules supreme.

Intact, untainted and filled with His heart of love,

And with His power and authority, He governs over

the affairs of men and He formed it all. 

And He is mighty to save. 

“The Eternal your God is standing right here among you,

and He is the champion who will rescue you.” 

(Zephaniah 3:17 Voice).

No one is forgotten.

No one is not seen 

or heard by God. 

No one, no matter how we may feel.

“The earth is the LORD’s, and all it contains,

The world, and those who dwell in it.”

That means He takes care of every person

We love and care about. 

And He loves them too. Only He has more 

power and authority to help them than we do.

He is able to care for them in ways where we cannot.

He is able to do far more for them 

than we could ever hope to.

He holds the whole world in His hands,

And He holds them in His hands too.

Worrying won’t change anything,

But prayer does. 

His love does.

Take a moment to lay down your heart before Him.

To give Him your cares and concerns.

To find rest for your troubled soul.

Quietly sit in His presence and let His peace wash over you.

Open the door of your heart that healing may begin. 

And freedom enter in.

Cast aside your cares as you walk into His presence,

Kneel at His feet and put your head upon His shoulder and just cry.

Let Him hold you close and shoulder it all for you. 

Let Him carry you through.

Step by step He will be there for you.

You will never walk alone.

“The LORD your God is with you,

He is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you,

He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing."

(Zeph 3:17).

His eye is on the sparrow and I know 

He watches over you and me.
