A Mother’s heart

A Mother’s heart
is the first sound you hear,
her arms of love,
the first to hold you dear.

Her gentle hands
the first to care, and
to let you know that love is near.

Her eyes the first-
to watch over you,
with great big tears of joy…

Her lips the first,
to tenderly kiss-
each fear away.
 
Her ears the first to open,
to each cry you make…

Ready to come quickly,
to help them disappear.

Her radiant smile,
is the first face you see,

her words the first,
to say they love me!

Her help is the first
to teach me…
how to walk and talk.

Her example-
the first to lead me,
and to let me know
of God’s great love above

She’s the first to be my friend,
and stand beside me,
so that I am not alone.

The first to comfort and to help,
and to see me to grow up…

She’s God’s first example to me,
of His great love from above,

For as I grow older
and learn more about God’s Son,

I’ll see how she loved me,
was really how God 1st loved me.
